3 Reasons to Do A First Look
When I was planning my wedding, I was kind of conflicted about whether or not to do a first-look with my husband. Part of me wanted him to see me for the first time when I walked down the aisle, but another part of me wanted to have that moment alone together before the wedding ceremony.
Ultimately, we decided to do the first look and it was a great idea. Here are three reasons why:
1. Getting pictures
After the wedding ceremony, you'll have sindoor in your hair and a jaimala over your bridal outfit; you'll have been sitting next to a fire for over the past hour. Basically, you'll look very different than what you looked like before the wedding ceremony, and you want to be able to capture photos in both looks.
2. Sweet private moment
The first-look is a really special and private moment, so being able to do that before seeing all your guests and family can make it even more meaningful. Also, if you have any wedding jitters, it'll help calm you down to see your person once, before you meet up again at the mandap!
3. It won't take away from the aisle-moment
Afterwards, my husband told me that seeing me before the wedding ceremony did not at all take away from the aisle-moment. He still anticipated seeing me again, this time with all of our family and friends!
